Practice Areas

The office advises business owners, management teams and boards in six areas, both day to day and when a lot is at stake.

01

Ongoing Legal Counsel to Companies and Businesses

A business faces legal questions all the time, not only when there is a dispute. Ongoing legal counsel helps owners and management make decisions with a clear legal picture, spot risks early and deal with problems before they escalate.

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts and agreements
  • Answering legal questions that come up in running the business
  • Legal input on business decisions
  • Identifying and managing legal risks
  • Support during disputes with suppliers, customers, partners or creditors, and in periods of financial difficulty
02

Boards, Officers and Public Companies

Directors and officers make decisions with legal and sometimes personal consequences. Adv. Dubin has extensive experience working with boards of directors and public companies, and advises them on the legal aspects of their decisions, both day to day and in sensitive situations.

  • Advising boards of directors and board committees
  • Advising directors and officers on their duties and liability
  • Reviewing the legal aspects of significant decisions
  • Disputes between companies, shareholders and officers
  • Advising public companies on legal issues and disputes
03

Commercial Litigation

When a business dispute reaches the point where action is needed, it pays to understand the risks, the options and the goal early on. The office represents companies and businesspeople in complex commercial disputes throughout the proceedings.

  • Assessing the situation and building a strategy before filing or defending a claim
  • Conducting court proceedings through judgment and appeal
  • Contract disputes, disputes between partners and shareholders, and monetary claims
  • Applications for interim and urgent relief
  • Settlement negotiations, where they serve the client's interests
04

Insolvency

Acting for creditors, companies and officeholders, and serving as an officeholder

An insolvency proceeding looks very different from each side. The office acts for creditors, companies and officeholders, and in every matter examines which steps can protect the client's interests.

Adv. Dubin focuses his practice on insolvency and debt arrangements and is regularly appointed by the courts as a trustee, so he knows the process from the perspective of those who run it.

  • Representing creditors, including filing proofs of debt and following the proceedings
  • Advising companies in distress on the options available to them
  • Representing and advising officeholders in the proceedings
  • Serving as a court-appointed insolvency officeholder (trustee)
  • Applications, objections and claims within insolvency proceedings
05

Real Estate

Real property is usually a significant asset, and a dispute over it can affect much more than the property itself. The office represents and advises clients in real estate disputes and transactions.

  • Real estate disputes and property litigation
  • Representation in real estate transactions and agreements
  • Landlord and tenant disputes
  • Disputes with contractors and construction disputes
  • Disputes between co-owners of real property
06

Cases with International Aspects

A dispute with a foreign party raises additional questions: where to litigate, which law applies, and how to deal with parties outside Israel. The office represents clients in commercial matters with international aspects, and works with clients in English, Hebrew and Russian.

  • Disputes with companies and parties outside Israel
  • Disputes arising from international contracts
  • Questions of jurisdiction and governing law
